  1. How to enter
    1.1 To enter the 2017 Eurobodalla Business Awards all applicants must read and understand the terms and conditions and complete the online entry form for your chosen category.
    1.2 All submissions are to be lodged through the NSW Business Chamber’s online portal. This can be accessed through www.eurobodallabusinessawards.com.au and follow the links.
    1.3 By lodging your submission, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of entry
    1.4 Your entry must be submitted by 11:59pm AEST on Sunday 2 July 2017. The Eurobodalla Business Awards have the right to extend or vary the entry period if required, before or after the award entry period commences.
  2. Who can enter
    2.1 Entries can be made by any business based in the Eurobodalla shire.
    2.2 All businesses must have been in operation for a minimum of two (2) years. This excludes entries into the Start Up Superstar category where entries can be made by any business that has been operating less than a period of two (2) years.
    2.3 The ‘Major Sponsor’ and the ‘Networking Sponsor’ of the 2017 Eurobodalla Business Awards are not eligible to enter the awards program.
    2.4 Gold sponsors are not eligible to enter the award category that they are a sponsor of.
    2.5 Winners from the 2016 Eurobodalla Business Awards are not eligible to enter the category that they won in 2016. This excludes the Local Chamber of Commerce award. Winners in this category are eligible to enter each year.
  3. Entry requirements
    3.1
    All entries for consideration must be lodge online through the NSW Business Chamber Awards Portal via www.eurobodallabusinessawards.com.au and include the required information.
    3.2 The Eurobodalla Business Awards reserves the right to declare any entry ineligible, if during the term of the award process your entry form is incomplete or deficient, false or misleading in any way.
    3.3 Your entry will be allocated to the Eurobodalla Awards Program, based on your postcode as stored in our membership database. You cannot change your postcode once you have started your entry.
  4. Opening and closing dates
    4.1
    Applications open Monday 22 May 2017.
    4.2 Applications close Friday 30 June 2017.
    4.3 Eurobodalla Business Awards reserves the right to extend or vary the entry period if required, before or after the award entry period commences.
  5. Confidentiality
    5.1
    All information provided in the entry form will be used for the purpose of judging only and will be treated as commercial-in-confidence by the Eurobodalla Joint Chambers and judges.
    5.2 If you are selected as a finalist, the information provided in the entry will be used for the purpose of promoting the awards program and your business.
  6. Judging panel
    6.1
    All entries are judged by a panel that come from a business related background or are community leaders within the Eurobodalla or wider region.
    6.2 The judge’s decision is final and no further correspondence will be entered into.
    6.3 In situations where there is only one entrant for a category in the Eurobodalla Business Awards, this entry will be judged. Subject to meeting a gateway score, the entry will become an automatic Far South Coast Regional Awards Finalist and represent the Eurobodalla Business Awards in the Far South Coast Regional Awards.
  7. Awards
    7.1 The awards comprise of the following categories:
    – Young Entrepreneur
    – Business Leader
    – Start-Up Superstar
    – Excellence in Innovation
    – Excellence in Sustainability
    – Excellence in Accessibility
    – Excellence in Export
    – Excellence in Small Business
    – Sub category: 1-4 employees
    – Sub category: 5-10 employees
    – Sub category: 11-20 employees
    – Excellence in Business
    – Local Chamber of Commerce
    7.2 Category winners from the Eurobodalla Business Awards that align with the NSW Business Awards program will automatically enter the Far South Coast Regional Awards as a Regional Category Finalist.
    7.3 The winner of the Excellence in Small Business category will be the overall highest score from the sub categories. This winner will proceed to the Regional Awards.The next highest score in each of the sub categories will be the winners of these categories. These winners will not proceed to the Regional Awards.
  8. Geographic Coverage
    8.1
    These terms and conditions cover the 2017 Eurobodalla Business Awards.
    8.2 The NSW Business Chamber is providing the online entry engine for the Eurobodalla Business Awards which align with the Far South Coast Regional Awards and the NSW State Awards.
  9. Announcing the finalists and winners
    9.1
    Finalists will be notified by phone and/or email and published on the Eurobodalla Business Awards website (www.eurobodallabusinessawards.com.au) and Facebook page.
    9.2 Winners will be announced at the 2017 Eurobodalla Business Awards Gala event on Saturday 12 August 2017.
  10. Progress to Regional and State levels
    10.1
    Winners of the Eurobodalla Business Awards will automatically become finalists in the Far South Coast Regional Awards hosted by the NSW Business Chamber on the condition that points 10.2 to 10.5 are met.
    10.2 To enter the Far South Coast Regional Awards and NSW State Awards program and be eligible, winners of the 2017 Eurobodalla Business Awards must be opted in members of the NSW Business Chamber AND members of their local chamber at the time of entry and during the term of the Award process.
    10.3 Entrants will use the same answers for the Regional and State Awards Program as the Eurobodalla Business Awards Program.
    10.4 Entry into the Business Awards Program is not open to Board Members (or their businesses) of the NSW Business Chamber, Hunter Business Chamber and Illawarra Business Chamber.
    10.5 Entry into the Young Entrepreneur or Business Leader categories is not open to NSW Business Chamber Regional Advisors
